The Plainfield Area Humane Society is a
private 501(c)3 non-profit organization and has been in continuous
operation since 1933. Every animal we rescue gets every chance to
find it's Forever Home, regardless of age, health or its status as a
stray, abandoned or released animal.
Our Mission is to find a loving home for every homeless pet,
and our Vision is that all pets have a permanent home to live
their lives in comfort.
We offer several Programs to enable us to fulfill our
Mission, including:
Project Save, to aid those pets that need special care before
being adopted
Valentine Fund, to help those pets that need intense veterinary
care
Save-A-Life, to spay/neuter all our adopted pets, reducing
overpopulation
365 Club, enabling us to provide optimum care for all the
animals.
Our income comes from donations, animal control service contracts,
adoption fees,
fund-raisers, bequests, grants and corporate gifts.
In addition to caring for and rehabilitating stray, abandoned and
unwanted animals, PAHS provides programs on pet care and responsible
ownership for scout, school, church, business and library groups by
appointment and at no charge.
Please visit the
PAHS website for more information.
